Hey Everyone! I'm Back from Armenia Safe and Sound! YAY!

Such a Crazy week. We woke up at 3:30 AM to get to the Airport and catch our plane to Kyiv. It was a good flight. And then we got to wait For our plane from Kyiv to Yerevan, Armenia. When we finally got in and then in bed it was about 1:00 in the Morning. Since we were let into Armenia on a tourist Visa we couldn't wear out tags and talk about the church, But That was okay because I don't think that anyone would have understood us since they Don't know Ukrainian. Just Armenian and some not to good Russian. I was So glad that it wasn't just me and that there were others there as well. But everything was good and we were able to do lots of Service. Mostly Weeding and Leveling ground, Hard but fun! Super glad to be back in a country where I actually know the Language and can communicate with the people there. I'm Going to be in L'viv the Next week while my Companion does her Visa Trip this week, But Next week I should be back in Rivne the lovely city I'm supposed to be Serving in. Till then,

Kyiv-Armenia-- August 4

So Right now I'm in the Kyiv Airport waiting for our flight to Armenia. Which is super funny because we have to wait until 19:30. Yay! Also Elder and Sister Bodell have told us that the flights going to and from Armenia are going to be an additional 20-30 minutes so that they can fly around Eastern Ukraine, so that we can all be safe, and avoid that air space.

Elder and Sister Bodell are wonderful and are letting us use their iPads to send these to you all. and we will be able to send another one when we are safe in Armenia, so don't worry! I love you both so much! Kind of sad that we don't get to leave the airport and go to the temple, but there is a reason behind it all, and in the end it has made me appreciate living closer to a temple back home, and I can hardly wait to go again.

I love you so much that I can't tell you!

Rivne Week 7!-- July 27, 2014

Hi!

First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

So Last week I didn't get a chance to tell you all, but we had transfers! And I am no longer going to be with Sister Shylina, :( instead I am still in Rivne with Sister Barnes, :) from Oregon, She was in the same MTC District as me so things have been going Fantastic!. In my last week with Sister Shylina we met this one woman who had been a former investigator back in 2006. Sad/funny story about her and her copy of the Book of Mormon. So she loves to read and has a large library of books and she will let neighbors and friends borrow them, well one of her neighbors borrowed a few books, one of them being The Book of Mormon, and then The Neighbor moved without returning the book. When we heard that It was like "Oh NO HOW COULD SHE! but also YES SOMEONE STOLE A BOOK OF MORMON!" Anywho we gave her another copy and then a week later sister Barnes and I went back and She was at ALMA 40!!!!!! SO AMAZING!!!!!! So there are people in this part of the world that are prepared to feast upon the words of Christ!

On another note next week my P-day next week will be on Tuesday in Armenia...Yes it has been that long, it's been about a year and if I want to continue being a missionary here in Ukraine I must obtain a new Visa. Also we have a layover in Kyiv so there will also be a short pit stop at the Temple in Kyiv. To say the least I am Uber excited! People are progressing and I get to be here to help them along the way. I may never see someone all the way through the steps, but I am grateful that i was here to help them in this part of the journey.

Rivne Week 5-- July 14, 2014

Hey Everyone! I hope that your weeks were Fantastic! We Had a wonderful week and had a Great Exchanges! We are preparing for a Scripture Study Activity for the branch. If we can find this movie "Scriptures Legacy" in Ukrainian we are going to watch it. It starts off depicting what would have happened if Moroni Didn't hide the Gold Plates. Afterwards Elder Christofferson speaks about the importance of Scripture Study I hope that you all enjoy it.

Rivne Week 4-- July 7

July 7, 2014-- Rivne Week 4

Happy Late Fourth of July! (I can't believe that I forgot to say that last time)

And Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

We had such a great week! First off we were in L'viv for Zone Conference, which was Great! YAY! Sister Lattin Spoke about the Temple and it was so amazing. (Someone do a favor for me and Go to the Temple!) Watch this Great Mormon Message about Temples! Try to Find one near you! We spoke about Goals and Planning And now I know what mine are. Then we found out what the surprise was. We got to spend some time relaxing a bit. And then we watched "Ephraim's Rescue" in the evening, and I loved it. Last July 4th, in the MTC, we watched "17 Miracles" so it was kind of like watching the sequel a year later. Super fun. Also, it was almost the 4th of July and what better way to celebrate America then to watch a film based on the first members of the Church?

I love you all and hope that your summers are going fantastically! It's been super funny because we have had rain every other day for a while, which is super strange for me having been raised in the beautiful Southern California, but I hear that the weather will get hotter, which is nice to know. I know that the Lord is taking his time with each of us preparing us each day little by little so that we as individuals can help to bring our brothers and sisters back into the fold. Never forget that you are Unique. Heavenly Father knows that and knows where you are needed. You may not be the Rose in the bouquet but sometimes you need things like Daises and other flowers in your bouquet as well.
